Debbie has worked in the landscaping industry for over 15 years, from weeding flower beds to designing magnificent hardscapes, she has done it all including earning a degree in Horticulture. Before starting Plant Concepts in Lenoir City, TN, Debbie worked as a grower at a local green house as well as planting and caring for flower beds on small residential projects on the weekends. Going out on your own to start a new business is always risky. But, through word of mouth advertising, hard work, and quality craftsmanship, she has built a successful local business. Debbie states, “You have to love what you do to be in this business and be willing to take some risks.” “We all love working with nature to make the world a better place.” said a crew member.
I love the personal attention that Debbie and her team offer in landscape design, plant options, and maintenance. I do appreciate the fact that she has the credentials in horticulture and truly knows her stuff!!

My husband and I hired Plant Concepts to help plan and install landscaping in our clay and rocky soil. Debbie, owner, suggested plants that would withstand our harsh conditions, as well as original designs to add color for all seasons. She was also extremely knowledgeable about fertilizing our plants and protecting them from deer and fungal problems. We also received advice and timelines when fertilizing should occur. Plant Concepts has always responded promptly with any questions we have raised and has offered constructive suggestions when we've asked about various sections of our yard. Plant Concepts workers are respectful to the homeowners and they work hard to maintain customer satisfaction. Their rates are extremely competitive - and their work ethic far outshines the competitors in the area.

Enjoyed working with Debbie from plant concepts. Since we were new to the area she had suggestions for plants and trees that were a good fit for my particular yard. We worked together taking my personal likes and dislikes and came up with a plan. I enjoy things that are different and unique - her knowledge and expertise made this possible. The relationship did not end when the job was done. She still helps with my concerns due to my lack of knowledge on native plants and Tennessee conditions. Early this spring she walked my yard to make sure everything weathered the winter. Enjoyed working with plant concepts.
